COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Jesus said that we would be His disciples in Jerusalem, Judea, and the uttermost parts of the world. Therefore, we emphasize local missions in our neighborhood, as well as, world missions. Members of Wyatt reach out to our community through many ministries.

GET INVOLVED

The Salvation Army Soup Kitchen

Each month members of Wyatt Baptist Church prepare and serve a meal at the Salvation Army. Additionally, free bags of hygiene and toiletry items are prepared and distributed. Volunteers are invited to help with the purchase, preparation, and serving of meals and toiletry bags. Click HERE for more information.

Mentoring

Matthew 5:16, "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father who is in heaven."  Mentoring in the public school is one way for Wyatt to shine brightly in our community.  Each mentor is assigned a student(s) to meet with for one hour per week  during school hours.  Mentors are able to share God's love by establishing a relationship of trust and support as they live life with their youngster.  Mentors supply guidance as consistent, competent, caring adults outside the youngster's family.  Wyatt mentors are missionaries to the schools, sharing truths about Christ with children who may never enter the doors of our church. International Student Hosting

Families at Wyatt host international students from Southern Arkansas University during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break through the Friendship Family Program. Volunteers may host a student in their home or help provide group activities for students. It’s a great way to reach the nations from our own backyard! For more information, click HERE.

Hannah Pregnancy Resource

Hannah Pregnancy Resource Centers of South Arkansas communicate Christ’s love by providing life-affirming services to women facing pregnancy decisions. The resources centers uphold biblical standards for sexual integrity. Volunteers from Wyatt may help with office tasks. For more information click HERE.
